Tea ceremony as “bridge of peace” at Pearl Harbor remembrance service

Reuters reported last night on a tea ceremony that took place in Honolulu, HI, “performed for a group of dignitaries and hundreds of onlookers on a memorial built above the sunken remains of the USS Arizona, a battleship famously destroyed in Japan’s surprise bombing of the U.S. Pacific fleet” in 1941. Nearly twelve hundred lives were lost on the Arizona. The service, meant to symbolize harmony and unity, was the first of its kind to be performed at the site. Read the full report here.
