International Campaign for Tibet Vice President Bhuchung Tsering testifies at House Foreign Affairs Committee on Foreign Affairs hearing

On July 25, the International Campaign for Tibet’s Vice President, Bhuchung Tsering, testified at a House Foreign Affairs Committee on Foreign Affairs hearing entitled “Investigating the Chinese Threat, Part Two: Human Rights Abuses, Torture, and Disappearances.” The hearing was part of the most recent US-China Human Rights Dialogue. Tsering made recommendations and presented a fact sheet the organization has produced about the spate of self-immolations in Tibet, noting that ”from a Tibetan perspective [human rights conditions] have certainly worsened.” You can read his testimony in its entirety here.
