Bihar police guarding Bodh Gaya from potential attack

Mahabodhi Temple

Under threat of terrorist attacks, security at Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is now in the hands of some 25 members of a Bihar police special task force (STF). The security force will watch over visitors while monitoring the temple grounds. This is the first time such a task force has been mobilized to the temple.

Security was beefed up after members of the Indian Mujahideen were arrested in Delhi and revealed that Bodh Gaya was a potential target.
