“Yangsi” premieres December 8 at Rubin Museum
On December 8, the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City is hosting the world premiere of Yangsi — a new documentary about the young Tibetan boy, known as The Yangsi, who is recognized as the reincarnation of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, one of the most revered Tibetan Buddhist masters of the twentieth century.
Elliott made Yangsi over a period of 14 years, and Yangsi Rinpoche, who’s now 19, narrates the film, giving a first-person account of his childhood and how he came to terms with his inheritance.
Buddhadharma is pleased to be a sponsor of Yangsi‘s premiere. The film will be shown three times on December 8, and a Q&A discussion with director Mark Elliott will follow each screening. Yangsi will also screen four more times in December; click here for the full schedule. Tickets are $13 for all screenings.
