Staff changes announced at Parallax Press
After almost twenty years at Parallax Press, publisher Travis Masch is leaving the company “to pursue other opportunities.” Parallax announced Monday that Nancy Fish will take over as Parallax’s new publicity and marketing manager. Fish brings “a wealth of experience in publishing and bookselling,” the announcement said. In addition, Sophie Marchant, who has worked for ten years as Parallax’s customer service, publicity, and marketing coordinator, has returned to the company after maternity leave.
“Nancy and Sophie will work as a team to bring Parallax books to new audiences, introduce our loyal readers to new authors, and ensure that Parallax books have the widest possible reach,” the Parallax staff announced in an email. “Their combined skills will allow Parallax to provide a unique service to authors in this current publishing environment: personal attention, access to a wide range of media and media contacts, and creative skills, energy, and dedication to sharing mindfulness teachings. As we enter the new year, Parallax is fortunate to be in such a strong position to continue our mission of making mindfulness teachings accessible to everyone and preserving them for future generations.”
