After Yale, Indigo Blue debuts new space with blessing ceremony and open house
Not long ago, we brought you two posts about Yale University’s decision to end its nine-year relationship with Indigo Blue, a nonprofit center for Buddhist life at Yale, and its director Bruce Blair (a 1981 alumnus).
Indigo Blue recently debuted its new, completely independent space with a blessing ceremony and an open house. In an email to subscribers dated January 21, 2013, Blair writes:
This afternoon at 2:00 PM, Masters Chang Kuan Shifu and Xian Yi Shifu, Bhuddhist nuns from Mount Putuo (China), now residing at Fan Yin Monastery in Flushing, Queens, New York, will join Master Dae San Sunim, a Buddhist monk from Korea, now residing at Dae Yen Sah in New Hartford, Connecticut, in performing a Blessing Ceremony in our temporary Buddha Shrine, located at 185 Mansfield Street, New Haven.
