Introduction to Lovingkindness Meditation Practice
|March 17, 2013|
|9:30 am||to||12:30 pm|
The beautiful and sublime qualities of love and compassion are central in the spiritual life. They are qualities that are essential for our own well-being and for the world in which we live. Though love is innate to our being, we have often lost touch with it, both for ourselves and others.
We will explore the practice of lovingkindness (metta), understand what obscures the heart from loving, and look at how we can bring these qualities of the heart into our everyday life. The morning will include sitting and walking meditation, dharma talk, and discussion. For beginning and experienced students.
Teachings are appropriate for individuals as well as health care professionals. Continuing Education (CE) credit available.
Young Adults (18-26) and Seniors (65+ with limited income) are invited to attend this day for $25.
