Dana (No Fee) Day

Using the framework of the Four Noble Truths, we will investigate how we get ourselves into tangles of suffering (dukkha) and how we can begin to unravel those tangles to live with greater freedom and ease. During the day there will be guided sitting and walking meditation, dhamma reflections, a shared meal, and opportunities for Q&A.

Lunch: Please bring vegetarian lunch to share and food to offer the nuns, if you wish. Ayya Anadabodhi and Ayya Santacitta will bring their alms bowls, and you will have an opportunity make offerings to them as part of this monastic day of practice. Food to take with them and other donations also gratefully accepted for Aloka Vihara, the nuns’ current residence, though are by no means necessary. You may request a current list of needed items by emailing viharasteward@gmail.com. For more information on Aloka Vihara and the Saranloka Foundation, please visit their website at www.saranaloka.org.
