Update: Dalai Lama Environmental Summit — May 9–11 in Portland, Oregon — Nearly sold out

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will speak at the Dalai Lama Environmental Summit in Portland, Oregon, from May 9 to 11. Maitripa College is hosting the event, which features teachings and conversations with His Holiness and leaders of the Pacific Northwest environmental, scientific, policy, and faith communities. His Holiness’ visit begins with two public events at the University of Portland’s Chiles Center: an interfaith dialogue with local religious leaders about spirituality and the environment, and a public address on “Universal Responsibility and the Inner Environment: the Nature of Mind.”

On Saturday, May 11, at 9:30 a.m., at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will join a panel of political and environmental leaders to discuss the roles of science and policy in catalyzing environmental action globally and in the Northwest in “Environmental Summit: Universal Responsibility and the Global Environment.”

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will conclude the weekend at Veterans Memorial Coliseum on May 11 at 1:30 p.m., with a public address  entitled “Inspiration for the Global Environment,” sponsored by the World Affairs Council.
