Report: Archaeologists uncover ancient Buddhist monastery in northwestern China
Archaeologists have reportedly finished excavating an ancient Buddhist temple and over 3,000 artifacts in the Taklamakan Desert in northwestern China.
The temple is estimated to be about 1,500 years old, making it one of the oldest in China. Its walls are decorated with a Greco-Buddhist art style that was rarely used after the 6th century. Read more, and watch a news report about the temple, here.
