Budget cut threatens International Campaign for Tibet’s Chinese outreach programs

The International Campaign for Tibet is putting out an emergency plea for donations because government budget cuts have reduced funding for their Chinese outreach programs.

The $25,000 cut could put several outreach programs at risk, including distribution of ICT’s Chinese-language newsletter and the organization’s ability to provide Chinese Internet users with access to Tibetan activists’ writings. Countering Chinese propaganda is one of the most important ways ICT gains momentum to change Chinese policies.
