Buddhist Peace Fellowship seeks submissions on theme of non-violence

For 2013, the Buddhist Peace Fellowship has developed a thoroughly unique approach to Buddhism’s Five Precepts, employing collective online expression in a series called “The System Stinks,” as part of its Turning Wheel Media project. They’ve put out a call for submissions for Volume 5 of the series, “Getting Real About Non-Violence,” which “will look at the practice of non-killing at a time of militarization, environmental racism, deadly exploitation, and struggles for emancipation.” Learn more here about the philosophical and practical questions BPF is asking about the precept of non-killing, as well as how to submit your related writing, art, video, or audio. The deadline is September 15 for the November 1 posting and requires creating a free account.
