Dalai Lama at Atlanta’s Emory University: Tickets now on sale

HH the Dalai Lama, Presidential Distinguished Professor at Atlanta’s Emory University, will be in residence there this October 8-10, his first visit since 2010. University organizers and local affiliates have packed his schedule with two public events, a host of on-campus appearances, a dharma lecture sponsored by Drepung Loseling Monastery, and attendant cultural events.

Said Emory’s president, James Wagner:

“The Dalai Lama has made invaluable contributions to our understanding of what it means to be an ethical citizen of the world. We are looking forward to the return of Emory’s Presidential Distinguished Professor and the opportunities for our faculty and students to engage with him on these vital issues.”

Emory has provided all the necessary information for ticketing here; on-campus events are limited to students, faculty, and sponsors, with a ticket lottery beginning September 1.

The Dalai Lama’s only other North American visits this year will be to Mexico October 12-16 and to New York City October 18-20; four EU country appearances are slated for September 9-19. See his official schedule for details.
