Buddhist Global Relief Walk to Feed the Hungry: Seattle, WA
|October 12, 2013|
|9:00 am||to||1:00 pm|
We are excited to announce the 3rd Annual Walk to Feed the Hungry at Volunteer Park in Seattle, WA, on Saturday, October 12, 2013. Buddhists from all over will gather together to participate in the Walk to support the hunger relief programs of Buddhist Global Relief (http://www.buddhistglobalrelief.org/active/bgrMission.html), the charity founded by the renowned Buddhist scholar-monk Bhikkhu Bodhi. We invite you to join this work of compassion by walking, volunteering, or making a donation. Buddhist Global Relief provides grants for global hunger relief programs, including programs in education, farming, and women’s livelihood — all aiming toward food security. A percentage of the day’s proceeds will also benefit TeenFeed. This event is co-sponsored by the Dai Bai Zan Cho Bo Zen Ji and the Northwest Dharma Association.
