For forty years, the Nyingma Institute has offered a gentle path of self-knowledge and altruistic service based on the Buddha’s teachings. Retreats and workshops offer fresh insights and spiritual refreshment in a gentle, meditative atmosphere. What is a “Petite Retreat”?
A “Petite Retreat” is workshop with an overnight stay and complimentary Sunday meditation, Tibetan Yoga class, Sunday evening chanting, and Dharma Lecture to enhance your experience.
Retreatants live in peaceful, comfortable single-occupancy rooms overlooking the serene Meditation Garden, at the foot of the Berkeley Hills, or the expanse of San Francisco Bay. Bathrooms and showers are shared.
Overnight stays are only $45 per night (plus workshop cost), with workshop and Sunday program attendance. Arrive Friday afternoon before 7 PM and Depart Sunday at 7 PM. Reserve now, rooms fill up quickly.
Saturday workshops begin at 10 AM and conclude at 4:45 PM unless otherwise noted, and include a vegetarian buffet lunch.

Through advanced meditation techniques, we gain access to an ever-present sense of delight as we increase our ability to remain in nonconceptual meditation.
