Khyentse Foundation offering academic scholarships for Buddhist translator training

For those with ambitions to become accomplished modern language translators of Tibetan or Sanskrit Buddhist literature, help is on the way for academic training. Khyentse Foundation has announced new translation studies scholarships for enrolled or prospective students in this discipline, with preference going to those studying at its partner institutions: University of California at Berkeley, Hamburg University, University of Vienna, and Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Kathmandu.

Scholarships of up to $2,500 per semester/$5,000 per year are available. Applications will be accepted between February 1 and March 1, 2014. Click here for full details.
