Final call to apply for Upaya Zen Center’s Buddhist Chaplaincy Program

Upaya Zen Center has put out a final call for applications to its next two-year Buddhist Chaplaincy Training Program, set to begin March 10. According to its promotional material, the program “is intended to prepare people to have the skillful means to transform all forms of suffering, including suffering induced by structural violence…based on the premise that those doing ministerial work are endeavoring to serve and heal not only individuals, but environments and social systems as well.” Offering comprehensive training in Buddhist chaplaincy, the program may also be used as foundational preparation for professional health-care chaplaincy certification through Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
