Convictions upheld in third trial of 1991 Phoenix Buddhist temple massacre
Jurors have returned unanimous guilty verdicts on all counts, including first-degree murder and armed robbery, in the third trial of Jonathan Doody, who has been imprisoned since 1991 for the massacre of all nine residents of the Wat Promkunaram Thai Buddhist temple, including five monks and one nun, outside Phoenix, AZ. One of the current monks was in attendance at the hearing. Details of the case, including video, may be found at the Arizona Republic site.
