Translator training program in Nepal
Join the Translator Training Program at Rangjung Yeshe Institute
The 12-month course includes study of spoken Dharma Tibetan, Classical Tibetan, Colloquial Tibetan, basic Buddhist Philosophy, and Translation Methodology. Students can choose to live with Tibetan families so they are fully immersed in the language.
To qualify for the program, students need a year of prior training in both colloquial and classical Tibetan. Classes are taught in both English and Tibetan, and students are expected to translate into English. The program is located at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Boudhanath, Nepal, and runs from June to June each year.
