Maranasati: Mindfulness of Death
|March 29, 2014|
|9:30 am||to||4:30 pm|
Spirit Rock Meditation Center
Woodacre, CA (Marin County)
This daylong is for people experienced in mindfulness practice. Maranasati, mindfulness of death, is a highly valued contemplation and practice in Buddhism. Buddha encouraged Maranasati to cultivate equanimity, bring insight into impermanence, awaken freedom from unconsciousness, appreciate the preciousness of human birth, and as a preparation for our own death. We will explore a variety of Maranasati contemplations and practices, including awareness of the body; investigation of our beliefs and views about death; and contemplations of the reality of impermanence and mortality. With Eugene Cash.
