Buddhist Contemplative Care Symposium 2014
|November 6, 2014||to||November 9, 2014|
Communication & Interpersonal Relationship within Palliative and End-of-Life Care
Meditation and mindfulness techniques are now the new best practices for palliative and end-of-life care practitioners to help their patients alleviate pain and suffering. Visionary medical leaders including Dr. Diane Meier, Dr. Ira Byock, and Dr. Rita Charon will join Buddhist teachers Robert Chodo Campbell and Koshin Paley Ellison to grow the community of clinical practitioners who are integrating contemplative practices into mainstream palliative and end-of-life care. The Buddhist Contemplative Care Symposium on Palliative and End of Life Care is expected to be another sold-out event (after its debut in 2012) and is presented by New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, in collaboration with The Garrison Institute.
