A wonderful reminder of such an imminently elusive concept. Your article reminds me of the lesson I first got from reading Hermann Hesse's "Siddhartha." When Siddhartha's old childhood friend finds him by the riverbank and implores him to share the secrets of his wisdom, he essentially shares the same wisdom you did. Look right under your nose.

Thank you for the reminder.

This morning I awoke to a new sunlight after days of gray. One of my first thoughts was to enjoy my life just as it is and worry less. In a short time, I moved through a number of activities that helped put my house back in order after a week of visitors. How wonderful to be myself, here, now. A slight shift in perception can make such a difference. Thank you for your humble, open and thorough telling of these stories and for providing a rich context in which to hold our lives.

How appropriate that I am reading this in the service lounge of a Toyota dealership where I am having recall service done. Beneath any amount of prestige there is, eventually, the fair. And it is good enough. Thanks for writing.
