Tibetan Buddhism will be among three religions highlighted in an Interfaith Special to air on CBS this Sunday, October 13.
For the special, CBS reporters visited Padma Samye Ling, the Delhi, NY retreat center established by the “khenpo brothers”—the late Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche and Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche—as a reflection of Tibet’s first monastery, Samye. Since the 1980’s the two have established dozens of Tibetan Buddhist centers in the Nyingma tradition throughout the West. CBS interviewed Khenpo Tsewang for “his reflections on what it means to him to share this ancient lineage with America.”
The special will also feature segments on Jainism and Christian Science. Check local listings for broadcast times.
